Frequently asked questions

Everything people ask about PG Orbit — the PostgreSQL client for iPhone, iPad, Android, and Mac. Anything else, reach out.

What's free and what's Premium?
Free is read-only — every free query runs in a read-only transaction. All writes, CSV export, and schema changes are Premium.
Is Premium really one-time?
Yes — $9.99 once, per store account. Restore purchases on any of your devices.
Does Premium include Sync?
No — they're separate. Premium is a one-time unlock; Sync is an optional subscription.
What happens if I cancel Sync?
The app and Premium keep working; only syncing stops.
Do my passwords sync?
No — passwords and private keys never leave your device's keychain. The server stores connection metadata and saved queries only, and query-history sync is opt-in and off by default.
Does deleting my account cancel the subscription?
No — deleting the account removes the server account and all synced data, but the subscription is managed in the App Store or Play Store.
Which PostgreSQL versions and hosts?
PostgreSQL 9.6 and later, including AWS RDS and Aurora, Cloud SQL, Azure, DigitalOcean, Linode, Supabase, and Heroku.
What devices?
iPhone and iPad (iOS 15+), Android phones, tablets, and foldables; macOS 12+.
What languages?
English and Español.
How do I restore Premium on a new device?
Premium is tied to your App Store or Play Store account. Install PG Orbit on the new device and use Restore Purchases — no extra charge.
How do I cancel Sync?
In your App Store or Play Store subscription settings, like any other subscription. The app and Premium keep working; only syncing stops.
Does deleting my account cancel the Sync subscription?
No. Deleting your account from the app's settings removes the server account and all synced data, but the subscription itself is managed in the App Store or Play Store — cancel it there.
How do refunds work?
Purchases go through Apple and Google, so refunds do too — request one through the App Store or Play Store.
