Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Acrogenesis LLC ("we," "our," or "us"). By using the PG Orbit application or the PG Orbit sync service (together, "the Service"), you agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

PG Orbit is a PostgreSQL client for iOS, Android, and macOS. The app connects directly from your device to database servers that you configure. Optionally, a sync account keeps your connection settings and saved queries in sync across your devices; database passwords, SSH private keys, and passphrases never leave your device's keychain.

You are responsible for the databases you connect to: you represent that you are authorized to access them, and you are responsible for the queries you run against them — including write operations. Always keep backups of important data.

3. Accounts

Creating a sync account requires a valid email address via Sign in with Apple, Google sign-in, or an email verification code. You are responsible for maintaining access to the email account you sign in with. We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the Service or violate these terms. You can delete your account at any time from the app's sync settings, which removes your synced data from our servers.

4. Purchases and Subscriptions

  • Free tier: core features, including read-only querying, are free.
  • Premium is a one-time in-app purchase ($9.99) that permanently unlocks write operations, CSV export, and other premium features on the platform family where it was purchased. It is yours forever — no subscription.
  • Sync is an auto-renewing subscription ($1.99 per month or $14.99 per year). It renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • All purchases are billed and processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) under their terms. Manage or cancel subscriptions in your store account settings; deleting your sync account does not cancel a subscription.
  • Refunds are handled by the stores under their policies; we do not process payments directly.
  • Prices may change; changes apply only going forward and will be shown in the store before you are charged.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service to access databases or systems you are not authorized to access;
  • interfere with, overload, or disrupt the sync service or attempt to access other users' data;
  • reverse engineer or redistribute the application except where permitted by applicable law;
  • use the Service in violation of applicable laws.

6. Your Content

You retain all rights to the content you sync (connection settings, saved queries, and — if enabled — query history). You grant us a limited license to store and process that content solely to provide the sync service. We do not sell it or use it for advertising.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.

PG Orbit is a tool that executes the commands you give it against your own databases. You are solely responsible for the effects of queries you run, including data modification or loss.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ACROGENESIS LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR REVENUE, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate the sync service for accounts that violate these terms. Upon account deletion, your synced data is removed from our servers. Sections 6 through 10 survive termination.

10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Texas, United States, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction and venue of those courts.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms; if we do, we will update this page and the date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
